Nigeria National League side Warri Wolves has unveiled Jolomi Atune as new head coach on Friday.
The Southern based club make public the news as thousands of fans welcomed back the pioneer assistant coach to the
Seasiders.
The Warri born manager, who is popularly called “Mourinho ” by his admirers recently managed former NPFL champions Akwa United.
Coach Jolomi was among the pioneer technical staff that guided the club to its first NPFL campaign under the leadership of late Coach Solomon Ogbeide, among many other clubs he had managed in the past. He is currently an assistant coach to the nation’s under-17 male national team, the Golden Eaglets.
The exciting coach’s return, some years after he left the club, has produced tremendous enthusiasm and heightened aspirations for the team, which is charged with the primary objective of raising the bar and putting it on the correct track in the upcoming season, a football team will return to the highest level in the country.
The newly appointed club chairman, Neville Ambakederemo, the chairman of the Delta State Association, Ken Nwamucha, and the special adviser on sports to the governor of Delta State, former international Sam Sodje, were all prominent government officials present at the unveiling ceremony held at the Warri city stadium.
