Former Arsenal Boss, Arsene Wenger has expressed regret over the early exit of Serge Gnabry from the London side.
Gnabry, who left Arsenal in 2016 has now become a Star in Bayern Munich as his ever growing influence and exploit saw him firing Bayern to Champions league final with his brace against Lyon in the Semi-final.
Wenger admitted he was sad after the German international decided he didn’t want to extend his contact with Arsenal.
“I had given out on loan to West brom and he didn’t play a game. He came back and he was injured.
The French man noted that he believed Gnabry will have a great career as they worked with him for six months after coming back to the team but would later sign for Werder Bremen.
“We worked very hard with him for six months and he went out with German National team Under- 21’s and Bayern made a deal with Werder Bremen”.
He also added, “He wanted to sign in the end as he didn’t extends his contract with us and I was very sad. we couldn’t get over the line with him”.
