Zanaco FC Confirms Emmanuel Amuneke Coaching Role

Nigerian football legend and UEFA Licensed Coach Emmanuel Amuneke has joined Zambia Super League side Zanaco Football Club as a consultant to the team’s technical crew.

The former Super Eagles Winger who started coaching 18 years ago got his new appointment after leaving Egyptian club Lel Makkasa SC where he was the Academy Supervisor.

The club officially announced his appointment and Emeka Amadi, a fellow countryman of the former winger, as his assistant in a statement expressing their satisfaction with his decision.

“The Board and Management of Zanaco Football Club is delighted to announce the recruitment of Mr Emmanuel Amuneke and his Assistant Mr Emeka Amadi as Consultants to the Coaching bench of Zanaco Football Club,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.

“The Board of Zanaco Football Club is confident that Mr Amuneke’s coaching experience will add value to the Technical Team and the Club as a whole.

“The Board of Zanaco Football Club looks forward to working with Mr Amunike and his Assistant in ensuring that the club achieves its aspirations.”

The 51-year-old guided Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile in 2015 and also coached Julius Berger, Ocean Boys, Al Khartoum, Tanzania national team.
