Bafan Reflects On Tornadoes Promotion, Extols Giants FA Impact In His Career

Bafan Augustine was relatively unknown to many until he confirmed his prowess on the final day of the NNL Super 8 tournament which held in Enugu.

The Giants Football Academy product scored the third goal for the Niger Tornadoes in their 3-2 victory over 3SC of Ibadan- hitting back a rebounds from the free kick he had earlier played.

His goal would ultimately proved enough for the Niger State owned team as they held on to the advantage even when 3SC reduced the tally.

“I feel very happy after scoring that goal.There was this new strength that came into me even though I was tired before scoring it” Bafan said while revelling his first professional goal in a chat with www.owosports.com.ng.

The midfielder admitted It wasn’t easy for him to cope when he came from an NPFL teams to an NNL team, reason why the promotion is an achievement he would forever cherished.

He hinted that his personal target going into the new NPFL season is to be among the top rated best players in his position whilst also helping his team to clinch the title.

“Giants FA has contributed a lot to my career in the sense that I was nobody before Giants FA  picked me up, brushed me, help me become a professional player and get me professional club” Bafan extolled his grassroots team.

He appreciates Giants FA Manager for his magnanimity and genourisity in developing young talent and creating opportunity for them.

However, having proved his worth as one of the arsenal that Coach Bala Abubakar could deploy is expected to be an integral part of the Ikon Allah Boys next campaign.

Bafan was loaned from Heartland FC to Niger Tornadoes during the mid season transfer of the just concluded season.
