The President of Nigeria Football Coaches Association(NFCA) has given an elaborate narratives of how his led executive utilised the Covid-19 palliatives received from the FIFA/CAF.

Bosso, who is the Head Coach of the National U-20 team made the disclosure in Kano recently while speaking to OwoSports.com at the sideline of the Berackiah/Abigol Football Coaching Clinic.

He said the NFCA under him has witnessed a lot of fortunes which are geared towards making it operational, vibrant and also responsive.

“When the palliatives came, i posted the alert on our Whatsapp platform for everybody to see. And for the  disbursement, 3 people were nominated to set up a machinery for distribution.

The former Abia Warriors gaffer further said the body, as inspired by FIFA and CAF employed life and administrative support as the principles for disbursement while also informing the NFF of their yardstick.

“Out of the #7.6million we got as palliatives for the coaches we sent #3.7 million (#100,000 each) in total to all state chapters” he said.

He revealed that some of the state chapter were owing the National Secretariat affiliation dues hence some deduction from the palliatives sent to them.

“We sent some money to all the former National team coaches that have retired, those that are down with ailments, to the families of the late ones and all the former exco members of the the association.

He noted that the association also leveraged on the fund received to furnish the newly gifted National Secretariat by the NFF.

Commending the NFF leadership on the new Secretariat, he recalled that one of his personal house in Minna, Niger State capital has been serving as the National headquarters until the recent time.

“The association was formed in 1974 and as far as am concerned the NFCA have been operating illegally not until I came on board. Because there was no Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) certificate, so when I came on board, I fought for it and get it we can now sue and be sued with that certificate, Bosso pointed out while reeling out his achievements.

The helmsman also hinted on the move by the body to have a database for all it’s members across the country and democratise the leadership structures from grassroots to the National level noting the development as the only way to run an inclusive administration.

“We have already sent letters to all the state chapters that they can’t have any election in their state without local government congress. So each state must ensure there are leaders in the local government and the leaders now become the state congress members, he quipped.
