Budding talents from the Ibadan City Polytecnic who are able to prove their mettle, would be given the chance to try their luck with the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).
This was disclosed by the Team Manager of the Oluyole Warriors, Dimeji Lawal.
Kabongo,, as the ex international is fondly called, while speaking on Tuesday when the ICP hosted 3SC, said the plan wouldb be carried out in future.
” Having discussed with my General Manager, we are lookibg at accommodating ICP footballets, who are gifted and are interested in playing the round leather game.
” Combining football with education would be of immense benefit to the students”, declared the 3SC TM, who said the move, was a way of appreciating the institution for its support to the club these past years.
Also speaking at the event, Chief coach of the Ibadan soccer lords, Edith Agoye, said the support of the ICP students, has been vital to the success of the club.
“We really appreciate the school for the support we always receive. I could remenber two seasons ago,
when Insurance of Benin stormed Ibadan with their crowd, it was the presence of the ICP students that gave us that confidence to face the visitors that day”.
Agoye promised that 3SC will do everything humanly possible to pick the promotion ticket this season, as a thank you gift for the support received from the ICP.
