The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) have announced that the 2nd round of the 2021 Aiteo Cup matches will be played on the 7th of July 2021, owosports.com.ng reports.
According to a release dated 29th of June 2021, signed by Wilfred Onaji; Head of Aiteo Cup competition, he disclosed that all matches will be played on the same day at different venues, whilst adding that some centers will host more than one game.
Confluence Stadium in Lokoja as one of the centres will witness three matches as Kano Pillars will be taking on Smart City, 3SC battle against Gombe United while Wikki Tourist will also be clashing Osun United in the same venue.
Elsewhere, Kwara United will take on Kebbi United in Minna, Jigawa Golden Stars and Plateau United will do battle in Gombe while Owerri will play host to the match between relegation threatening Sunshine Stars and Kogi United.
Bendel Insurance and Nasarawa United will be slugging it out in Enugu while Abuja will be hosting Akwa United and Gateway United.
In Lafia, Zamfara United will line up against Imama Amapakabo’s Abia Warriors while Yobe Desert Warriors also battle Lobi Stars in Kaduna.
Ekiti United and Heartland football club will fight for a place in the third round in Benin, Katsina United and Elkanemi Warriors will play in Jos as Rivers United versus Sokoto United will be the second game in Lafia. Bayelsa United will take on Rangers in Ijebu Ode and completing the rounds fixtures will have FC Mia Angwa facing Niger Tornadoes in Kano.
