Bernard Ovoke Expresses Delight After Scoring First Enyimba Goal

Bernard Ovoke has expressed his joy after scoring his first goal for Enyimba in their 1-0 win over Abia Warriors on matchday 33 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ovoke, who joined Enyimba from Kwara United during the mid-season break, netted the decisive goal, sending the People’s Elephant to second place in the NPFL log with 56 points.

“I feel so great scoring my first goal for the team and helping them win away from home,” Ovoke said in a post-match interview. “I am super excited, and I hope this is just the beginning of great things to come.”

A household name in the Nigerian league, Ovoke has had successful stints with Rivers United and Plateau United, winning the league title with Rivers United in the 2021/2022 season. His debut goal for Enyimba is just the start of what promises to be an impactful tenure with the People’s Elephant.

Enyimba’s win over Abia Warriors has set the stage for an intense title race, with the People’s Elephant poised to make a strong push for the top spot.
