SGFC Athletics Sports Club has qualified for the 2025 Jagaban Cup final after edging Imperial FC 1-0 in their final Group B match on Wednesday.
Yohanna Yaro’s 54th-minute strike secured the win, ensuring the Nigeria third-tier side finished top of Group B.
Coach Mohammed Elegbede’s team has been impressive throughout the tournament, winning all three group games against tough opponents like Ijebu United, Imperial FC, and Dino Sporting Club, accumulating a maximum of nine points.
This is SGFC Athletics’ second appearance in the Jagaban Cup and hey will face the winner of Group A in Thursday’s final, seeking to assert their dominance in the tournament.
