After leaving Genk on Monday to seal his €6.5m move that will see him wear the colours of US Cremonese till 2027, Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers says he can’t wait to start scoring goals, OwoSports.com.ng reports.
Dessers who was one of the leading top scorers in the Belgium Jupiler League this season, after scoring two goals and making an assist for RKC Genk was unveiled on Wednesday by the new Italian Serie A team.
The Super Eagles forward told the club’s Youtube channel on board an airplane to his club after arriving in Italy.
“Picture of a child in front of a Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. There dream about the presents he’s going to unwrap in the morning, that’s how I felt travelling to Italy, exactly like that child.
“I have always dreamt of playing in Serie A, one of the illustrious leagues in the world.
“It’s going to be an exciting challenge, full of obstacles, but hugely stimulating.
” We’ll need to stand together and front up to every battle defending our colours. Which colours did I say? Well that of Cremonese -grigio and roso, I can’t wait.
