In a move to boost the morale of Ekiti United FC players, the Technical Advisor to the Ekiti State Governor on Sports Development, Hon. Olusola Osetoba, has ensured prompt payment of their April salaries. This swift response comes ahead of their final league match against Abia Comets in Umuahia.
Hon. Osetoba met with the players at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, reassuring them of the government’s commitment to their welfare. She said, “His Excellency is dedicated to supporting your success. Go out there, make Ekiti proud, and return with a positive result.”
In addition to the April salaries, Hon. Osetoba promised that the Government will offset the outstanding bills and match bonuses within the next few weeks. Team captain Adewale Makanjuola led the players in expressing gratitude to the Governor for his continued support and prompt response to their needs. Also present at the meeting were Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Kola Owoseni, and Ekiti United team secretary, Adedeji Olowolafe.
