Chief executive officer (CEO) of Cyteck engineering and a philanthropist Engineer Ahmed Olaide has congratulated Kwara United after they were handed the ticket to represent Nigeria in CAF confederations cup next season.
Engineer Ahmed Olaide a diehard fan of Kwara United football club who would spend his personal money to travel to support the team wherever they play was excited when he learnt about the latest development.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) submitted the name of Kwara United to CAF as their representative for the CAF Confederations cup to meet up with CAF deadline. Originally the slot was meant for the winners of the Aiteo Cup but with the Aiteo cup still on the NFF where tight handed and needed to submit a representative and decided to go with Kwara United who finished fourth on the NPFL log.
It was all joy for Engineer Ahmed Olaide who described the achievement as a new beginning for Kwara United stating that the club have laboured long and fully deserves it.
“It a cheerful news for Kwara United and the people of Kwara State I am so excited”, He said.
“It been long we played in the continent having the opportunity to play in the continent again is something to celebrate, I want to thank the Kwara State Government, Kwara United board led by Kumbi Titiloye, the players and the technical crew of Kwara United for putting Smile in the faces of all Kwarans”, he concluded.
Recall that on the last day of the season Engineer Olaide hosted all players, staffs and management of Kwara United to dinner. He however pledge to keep supporting the club and wish them a successful engagement in the CAF Confederations cup.
The draws for CAF Inter-club competition will hold on Tuesday 9th August 2022 in Cairo Egypt.
