Evolution cup NLO pre-season championship kicked off in style on Monday at the Remo Stars stadium Ikenne, Ogun State with nine goals scored and interesting upsets.
It was an entertaining encounter between defending champions SGFC Athletics and Star Builders with the former coming back from behind to force a draw.
Start Builders had a bright start which paid off when Eminence Naingba profited from a defensive blunder to strike in the opener early in the 2nd minutes.
Emmanuel Joseph restored parity for SGFC Athletics late in the second half to force a draw.
Magic Stars stunned Beyond Limits in the second game 2-1 to hand last year’s finalist a disappointing defeat with goals coming from Soji Isaac and Sean Isreal for the stars.
In the final game of the day, Rolly FC brushed aside Mallam FA 3-0 to go top of group A. Kingsley Epute, Asata Friday and Olowolayemo were the goal scorers for Rolly FC.
