Former players of Heartland FC of Owerri under the auspices of ex Iwuanyanwu Nationale has endorsed the appointment of Mr Promise Nwachukwu as the acting General Manager of Heartland FC of Owerri.
Mr Promise Nwachukwu an ex junior international, former ACB and Falcons that metamorphosed into Enyimba international had served Heartland for over a decade in various positions.
Promise started as an assistant Team Manager, rose to the office of the Team Manager and was later appointed the Sporting Director, later the General Cordinator of the club respectively before his recent appointment.
During his time as Team Manager of the club, Promise Nwachukwu won 5 trophies in 2 years which includes two back to back FA Cup trophies, a Charity shield and Super cup.
Speaking at the parley, the President of Ex Iwuanyanwu Nationale players, Casmir Mbachu expressed happiness with the appointment of Mr Promise Nwachukwu, describing it as a perfect decision, putting round pegs in round holes.
Mbachu commended the government on the recent appointment of Mr Sam Anozie, an Ex Iwuanyanwu Nationale as Secretary of the club.
He urged Nwachukwu to learn from past mistakes while eschewing gossip and favouritism.
“Heartland seem to be getting things right with your appointment and that of Sam Anozie as Secretary, because both of you are round pegs in round holes, I urge you to not to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Casmir promised the new acting General Manager of their unflinching loyalty and support.
“You have our support and blessing, we promise to stand by you to help take our club to the next level.
In reaction, the new acting General Manager Promise Nwachukwu thanked Ex Iwuanyanwu Nationale for their support and promised to work harmoniously with them to lift Heartland to an enviable height.
