Bayelsa Queens forward Mercy Itimi has expressed her excitement after they beat Rivers Angels to emerge 2023 TINGO Federations Cup Women’s Champions.
The former Nigeria Women’s premier league winners on Wednesday afternoon at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba Delta State defeated another Nigeria Women’s football powerhouse Rivers Angels 4-2 on penalties to lift the title for the second time in a role.

“It an amazing victory, most especially winning it back to back, though we lost the bigger crown the NWFL , but we give God the praise for consoling us with this one to end the season”, she said.
She also noted that the club will be back next season challenging for every available title next season as they bid to regain their NWFL crown.
“We are Bayelsa Queens the Prosperity Girls, we’ll be back next season to reclaim the NWFL title and also try to win every title that we would be competing in”, She added.
