Genk Target Chelsea’s Ugbo As Onauchu Replacement

According to report, Belguim top-flight side KRC Genk reportedly interested in signing exciting England born of Nigerian decent forward Ike Ugbo from Chelsea as they prepare for life without their top scorer Paul Onuachu who has attracted interest from top European club’s, Owosports.com.ng garthed.

The former FC Midtjylland striker, who won the Ebony Shoe award, is a top priority Europeans club with Arsenal, Sevilla, Lazio, West Ham, and Lyon all interested in his signature.

According to VoetbalPrimeur, Genk has turned to Chelsea-owned Ugbo as Onuachu’s replacement.

The 23-year-old who was on loan at Cercle Brugge last term was a revelation in the Belgian top-flight, netting 16 league goals to help the side avoid relegation.

Ugbo however refused Cercle’s offer to make the loan deal permanent, returning to Stamford Bridge, where he is under contract until next year.

Chelsea are unwilling to let the talented attacker go on a free and will look to cash in on him this summer, with Besiktas, Dutch giants PSV, Feyeenord and club Brugge reportedly keen on the English man.
