Coach Law who is a member of the Nigeria Coaches Association has backed Rohr over a potential new contract after being asked if he will support the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) should they decide to give the German tactician a new deal.
The German tactician whose contract runs out in the summer has been under serious criticism over failure to deliver the African Cup of Nation, AFCON trophy at the recent finals hosted in Egypt last summer.
“Understand that this is my personal opinion, I am not the decision maker at NFF, but Coach Law thinks Rohr’s contract should be renewed this coach as far as I am concern from my observation has done a lot, he has laid the right foundation now for the Super Eagles and you can see the age of the players we have in the national team if we can keep them together they seem to have a lot of respect for one another so you don’t break the winning team, bringing a new person right now will bring a lot of changes administratively, and also change the chemistry of the team.
“Give him a new contract let him finish with this players and then we can groom some other person, I think Joseph Yobo is coming up, it is a very perfect decision as far as I’m concern let him understudy Rohr, so when he is ready to go then we can integrate Yobo into the system. I think this the right thing to do right now this is my opinion on this” Coach Law concluded.
