Adeyi Tobi was instrumental to the 3-1 victory of Crown FC against J. Atete FC; scoring the opener and the third goal which could be described as the consolidation for the homeside means alot to him.

Speaking to owoSports.com.ng. after the game on Wednesday at the LAUTECH Sports Complex in Ogbomoso, the box to box midfielder said he is excited to get his first brace of the season.

Adeyi, who made a return back to Crown FC at the beginning of the new season from Kwara United noted the instructions from his coach and the motivation given by the team Acting General Manager had inspired his performance.

“I am so excited to get the goals. The coach gave me the instructions of playing the box to box role and I thank God the goal came -we won the match” Tobi said.

“Before we came for the match, the Acting General Manager came to the hotel and told us we need to score more goals so that we can be in better position on the log; That gave me the motivation and enough confidence coming into the game and I believe we will do more in the next match, he added.

He declared that the team is not going to lose their guard and the game against Apex Krane FC on Sunday will offer them another chance to keep on the tempo.

“Nothing to lose, we are going there to get a point or three maximum points”

Speaking on his exit from Kwara United last season, Adeyi said although the move was least expected but he is now finding a new home back to his former club while hoping to move to the elite league side comes any opportunity.

“Not that I am so happy like that but I am getting my confidence back, because a lot of challenges there but now I think next season will be l than this”.

While expressing how difficult it might be to hit the headline for high goal scorer in the NNL, the midfielder seems undeterred and has set a target of becoming the high goal scorer at the end of the season.

Crown FC are currently occupying second position on the Group B2 of southern conference log with 10 points. The resolve of Ajilete Warriors will be put to test when they face Apex Krane FC away from home on Sunday in the match week 7 of Group B2 of the NNL fixtures.
