Kwara State Pillar Of Sports Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson has declared his full support for ABS Ilorin FC as they begin their Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign against Yobe Dessert Stars on Saturday, Owosports.com.ng reports.
The Pillar Of Sports stated that he will give the club his 100 percent support just as he does for Kwara United adding that both teams belongs to Kwara State and a win for one will be a win for the state.
He however expressed disappointment for his unavailability at the club’s unveiling ceremony on Friday at the Kwara State Complex Stadium.
“It’s very unfortunate i couldn’t make it to the unveiling ceremony i traveled and was rushing to be part of the program sadly i couldn’t meet up”, He said in an interview.
“ABS FC like i always say i like them because they’re a club who encourages grassroots talents, pick them and give them the opportunity to showcase their talents, some of this talents are now playing abroad they’ve now made football a career through the efforts of the Director of football Alloy Chukwuemeka.
“I love to give them support like i give to Kwara United because if they are able to gain promotion this season they will be playing in the NPFL and if Kwara United can finish in the top three they will be playing in the continent which is going to be good football for us in Kwara State so let us support the two teams to do well.
“As the pillar of sports i will be coming over most times to cheer them up, both teams belongs to same state so let’s give them the necessary support needed to succeed”. He concluded.
