Super Eagles’ talented forward Ademola Lookman continued his scoring streak in Atalanta’s 2-0 home victory over Sampdoria in the Serie A match played on Saturday night.
The 25-year-old is only behind compatriot Victor Osimhen in the Italian league’s top-scorer chart with 12 goals for Atalanta this season.
His goalscoring form means he has scored seven goals in his last four games with five of the goals coming in the league.
He was unsurprisingly a starter in last night’s game for his Bergamo-based club in northern Italy Atalanta and scored his club’s second goal in the 57th minute of the match.
He was substituted in the 82nd minute to a round of applause from the home supporters as he continues to impress the home faithful since moving to Italy last summer.
Two Nigerian forwards are now the the top two top-scorer in the Italian league this season with Victor Osimhen ahead of Ademola lookman with just one goal and Osimhen will hope to extend his lead when Napoli host Jose Mourinho’s Roma on Sunday night.
