Alsank Yesilova FC of Cyprus winger Chigozie Emmanuel Mbah has expressed his delight to have emerge player of the week (14) in Cyprus after scoring 14 goals in 14 matches.
In the encounter against Lefk FC, the Nigeria born winger scored 4 goals and assisted the other 2 in a game which his team won by 6 goals to 1 at home which brings his total goal scored so far in the season to 14, making him the second highest goal scorer with just 2 goals behind the top scorer Sibonoso who has 16 goals.
“I feel great and happy to have scored 14 goals in 14 matches for my team. It is great an achievement for me as a winger to have scored more than many strikers in the league. It will be my greatest joy to emerge as the top goal scorer of the league at the end of season. There have been some contacts from Turkey and Bulgaria but am focused on my team for now. ”
Speaking in an exclusive interview from Cyprus, the 22 years old said he will add value to the Super Eagles should the opportunity comes.
“The present Super Eagles team is made up of young players. The likes of Samuel Kalu, Victor Osimehen, Sammuel Chukweze and others are young players and I believe if I have a chance of playing in the team, I will definitely give my very best “. He concluded
