President of Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Engineer Musa Kida said he is focused on revamping Basketball in the country after so many years of what looked like an unending crisis.
Recall that the lingering leadership rift in the Nigeria Basketball Federation ( NBBF) led to the withdrawal from international Basketball competitions in May which stopped D’Tigress from participating at the FIBA Women’s Basketball Worldcup.
An Interim Management Committee was set up to overseas the affairs of Basketball in the country but later dissolved after the crisis was resolved with Musa Kida Inaugurated as the duly elected NBBF President.
The Musa Kida elected NBBF board had since go on to host a successful Nigeria Basketball league with Kwara Falcons emerging Champions from the Super Eight played in Lagos.
Kida speaking to brila, monitored by our reporter said his focus is to revamp Basketball in the country and put the sport on the world map.
“Our intention is for us to perform better so at the world stage we are present, our Women are undoubtedly the best ranked team in Africa our Men also on the same footing.
I know we’ve lost a lot time because this thing that has been happening but again our intention is to rebound and get back to the forefront of Basketball.”
