Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has revealed that the Super Eagles of Nigeria have players to win the 33rd African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Nigeria’s first game is against Egypt on Tuesday in Garoua.
2021 FIFA Best Player Nominee said his team will try their possible best when they face Nigeria on Tuesday.
“Nigeria has players to win the tournament, I am just one player in my team. I don’t take questions and reactions personal, they have good players, but we will try our best to win tomorrow,” he said
The Liverpool star also revealed that his coach Klopp wish him to lift the trophy with Egypt in Cameroon
In his words, “Klopp said in favors a joke, he wants us to come. He told me, he wishes me to win, I don’t know what he told Mane. In England, they regard the AFCON as a big tournament.”
Egypt and Nigeria last played in 2008 which ended 3-1 in favour of the pharaoh.
