Renowned football agent Muhammad Lawal who Manages Super Eagles and Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has aired out his disappointment over the wrong management of football clubs and the Nigeria Professional Football League by its administrators.
Lawal stated that the wrong management of the clubs by its administrators has affected the market value of the players in the League, and has urged the LMC headed by Mallam Shehu Dikko to put in proper structure for a good organization of the League.
In a chat with journalist on Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece (NSM) Rebranded “Have been one of the critics of Shehu Dikko, the LMC and NFF in general, I’m not shy to talk when it comes to things about football especially the league, I will like to see a very organised and structured Nigeria league because that is where I feed from.
He further explained that the Nigeria Professional Football League players are the most marketable which has seen him come into the country often with Scout and coaches.
“Those players are the ones who are easy to market almost every year I come into the country about ten to fifteen times with different kinds of agent, coaches and scout sometimes club President, have taken them to Aba, Enugu many parts of Nigeria.
He also spoke about how disastrous it was trying to pick a jersey number in a match venues by one of the Scouts.
“We went to watch Enyimba vs Heartland game in Owerri, then when he came, he saw and said he wants to take the number of the player that he likes.
“Now one number is written on white with a cloth you can see the number then the other number you can see there is something there but you can’t see so he was asking me how is it difficult to get a number they have the jersey, he said he believes getting the jersey is more difficult than putting the number, now come three to four players there is no number the other they used pin to attach it so it fell so you can’t see the number but can just see a white cloth is running the white cloth is shaking.
“It a big task for Shehu I feel sorry for him but for the league to be the way it is it not only the LMC the Clubs have wrong administrators who are administering these clubs”, he concluded.
