NNL21: Osun United Victory Excites Abdulmajeed, Set Target For Lagos Trip

Osun United Midfielder Mohammed Abdulmajeed Aka (Mikel) has expressed his excitement following their 1-0 win over shooting Stars in one of the Nigerian National League (NNL) matches played on Saturday at the Osogbo city Stadium, Osogbo, Osun State.

The Omoluabi giant inflicted third defeat of the season on the group leaders to pick up all maximum point at their homeground.

In his chat with journalist, Abdulmajeed who couldn’t hold back his excitement said ‘ It was a good win for us and I am so happy about the Victory.

“Shooting Stars are a good side, picking up a victory against them is something to proud of, though it wasn’t an easy task.” He added.

The Midfielder however hopes to continue with the winning trend when they travel to Lagos for their clash against Vandrezzer football club.

“The confidence in the team is high at the moment we want to reciprocate the form against Vandrezzer in our next match on Saturday.” Said the Olohunda United graduate.

The first leg of the game between Vandrezzer and Osun United in Osogbo was over shadowed with violence. The game was reportedly abandoned after the home fans invaded the pitch.

In response to the protest written by Vandrezzer, Osun United were awarded three points by the league body and got banished to Kwara State Stadium Complex Ilorin for their next three home matches.
