Fast rising Kano based football club, Northwest Int’l FC will from 14th of July in the city of Kano hold a scouting and developmental program.
The club in seeking to actualize her goal of becoming a pathway football club in Kano for talents from Kano and by extension Nigeria at large to Europe and other top leagues across the globe, has called for the participation of clubs from Kano and other neigbouring states to participate in a scouting tournament slated for July 14-28th aimed at identifying special talents from the various teams expected to be part of the program.
Speaking with the Chairman and Proprietor of the Club on the scope and purpose of the program, Ibrahim Hayat had this to say.
“We are seeking to becoming a leading football club not just from Kano but in the whole of Nigeria and to achieve that we have to first have the right pocket of talents, develop them in a wholesome way and prepare them in readiness for a professional career while also offering them the needed visibility through scouting videos to the European football leagues and other thriving football leagues across the globe.
“So we decided to put up a scouting program which will enable us have access to a larger pool of talents from Kano and environs and then when we find some exciting talents through the program, we will commence modalities and work out the necessary paperwork with their primary academies and clubs.
“To achieve this we thought it wise to engage an expert in the business of football scouting and developmental services, hence we decided to collaborate with Tosmicom Sports Agency Ltd who have experience in this field and who recently designed and launched a product called Digital Scouting Africa which perfectly aligns with our goals and our direction.
“We have also engaged the services of Coach Akindele Olagbaju, a UEFA B licensed coach who has a rich history in youth football development and is credited to have worked with several youth talents whom he helped honed their skills and who are now plying their trade in top leagues across Europe and the globe.’ Concludes Ibrahim Hayat.
The scouting program is scheduled to kick off on 14th of July with a 3-5 days scouting tournament with participating teams going at loggerheads after which exciting talents spotted during the program will be drafted into the Northwest Int’l FC Team and train together under the tutelage of Coach Olagbaju before taking on some top and professional clubs in Kano and environs.
Tosmicom Sports, consultant to the program will through its media and production unit profile all selected talents and produce scouting videos that will be later used to market some of the talents to European clubs and USL clubs through their vast network.
