After picking up three draws from three games in the ongoing Nigeria premier league (NPL ) championship playoff, Captain of Remo Stars Nduka Junior says it’s not over and believes they are still very much in the race for the title, Owosports.com.ng reports.
The Skyblue Stars were forced to a 1-1 draw by Sunshine Stars in the second game of the Matchday Three fixture of the Super Six playoff at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos on Wednesday.
The Ikenne landlords had begun the tourney with draws from their first two games against Enyimba FC and Rivers United which was followed by another draw on Wednesday with Sunshine Stars which makes their title hopes dicey, however the captain Nduka Junior believes they’re still very much in it with two games left to play.
“It is a course the die has been cast already we just have to pick our pieces and move on it’s football out of three games we picked one point each which is not good for us not what we where expecting but I believe in the next game we will do better”.
“There is still hope it’s not over yet, we are still very much in it Sunday will justify the means”, He said to www.owosports.com.ng.
Remo Stars will next take on Bendel Insurance who has also picked up three draws from three games.
