NPFL22: “MFMFC Relegation The Saddest Moments Of My Career”, – Barry

Midfielder Legbara Barry has expressed sadness following MFM FC relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in the just concluded 2021/2022 season.

Following a poor run of form the Mountain of Fire Ministries Football Club (MFMFC) dropped to the Nigeria National League (NNL) eight years after they gained promotion to play in the top tier of Nigeria football.

Barry speaking exclusively with www.owosports.com.ng described MFM FC relegation as a huge disappointment and the saddest moments of his career.

“Being relegated is not what every team wish for it just happened and when it happens you just have to take it as it is. For me it was a disappointment that we ended up relegated I still feel the pain I must say that was saddest moments of my career, no one is happy about it”, He said.

The Midfielder believed that the club’s woes was down to poor preparation stating that the team didn’t have adequate preparation going into the season.

“Poor preparation brings bad results, we didn’t prepare well going into the season I hope we learn from our mistakes work on it and make some adjustments if we are to return back to the NPFL”, He added.

MFMFC finished bottom of the Nigeria Professional Football League standings with 36 points from 38 matches.
