NPFL24: Bernard Ovoke upbeat ahead of Doma Utd clash

Kwara United playmaker Bernard Ovoke is upbeat for a convincing victory when his side takes on Doma Utd.

The Harmony Boys will play host to the Saravanan Tigers in Wednesday’s Nigeria premier football league (NPFL) matchday 12 fixture at the mainbowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex Ilorin, Kwara State.

This would be the first meeting between the two sides since Doma Utd gained promotion to the top flight of Nigeria football two seasons ago.

The Savannah Tigers have had a good start to the league campaign and their performance so far have seen them placed second on the log standing with just one point behind Remo Stars.

Doma Utd comes into this game unbeaten in seven games with their last defeat coming against Shooting Stars on week five. They are also yet to concede in seven games which makes today’s fixture a uphill task for Kwara United.

Ovoke speaking with OWOSPORTS.COM.NG says Doma’s unbeaten run would come to an end in Ilorin today, (Wednesday)

“Doma Utd are a good side, they’ve done well for themselves so far. They’ve got some amazing talent in their midst it is going to be a good game for the fans to see but we come out victorious.

“We have the squad, you can see what we’ve been doing, we’ve gotten some decent results from a difficult centre as well so I would say that Doma Utd aren’t a threat to us. We are prepared and focused on the victory today” He said.

The match will kick off by 4pm.
