Nigeria striker Yusuf Otubanjo has been awarded with the UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Group Stage for his remarkable strike on Matchday two against Slovan Bratislava.
The 30-year-old beat out four other candidates including fellow Nigerian and Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze to win the award after scoring a brilliant goal in the 65th minute as his club Pyunik snatched a 2-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava at home.
UEFA announced the results of the polls through a statement released on their official Twitter on Friday night.

His Armenian club, Pyunik also celebrated the striker’s remarkable achievement on the club’s social media handle.
“The goal of our striker Yusuf Otubanjo was named as the best goal of the group stage of the @europacnfleague!.
“This recognition is a great reward for Otu’s work, but it would have been impossible without your support, thank you,” the club tweeted.
