As we approach the end of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season, the matchday 35 encounter between Rangers International and Enyimba FC is shaping up to be a thrilling title clash in Enugu.
The seven-time champions, Rangers International, will host the nine-time champions and current defending champions, Enyimba FC, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday evening.This blockbuster match promises to be an epic battle in the eastern part of the country.
Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, who is the Chairman of Enyimba FC, has arranged for buses to transport Enyimba fans to Enugu to support their team. Meanwhile, the General Manager of Rangers International, Amobi Ezeaku, has urged Rangers fans to come out in large numbers to support the “Flying Antelopes” in their colorful red and white kits.
Rangers currently occupy the top spot on the table with 61 points, while Enyimba sit in second place with 59 points. A win for either team will change the dynamics of the table.
The first leg in Aba ended in a 1-1 draw, setting the stage for a thrilling encounter in Enugu.
