Rivers Hoopers sign Canadian-born Nigerian for 2024 BAL

Kelvin Amayo, a Canadian-born Nigerian basketball player, has signed to play for Rivers Hoopers, the reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier Basketball League, reports OwoSports.com.ng.

Amayo, who previously played for Stade Malien and helped them become champions of the Sahara Conference, defeating REG, Kwara Falcons and ABC Fighters, will slam and dunk for Rivers Hoopers in the 2024 Basketball Africa League.
He also led Stade Malien to a third-place finish in their first-ever Basketball Africa League season last year.
During his time with Stade Malien, Amayo averaged 7.4 points, 4.8 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 steals in eight games played. Before that, he played for Loyola Marymount Lions in NCAA, Georgia, and Iran. William Perry was the first signing for Hoopers, and Amayo became their second.
