Kwara State Squash Team shone like million stars as they won three gold and one silver at the just concluded Prime Atlantic Squash open Championship in Lagos.
Nigeria number one who won three gold medallists at the last National Sports Festival in Asaba, Rofiat Abdulazeez led the medal sweep as she defeated her teammate, Isaac Blessings in the senior girls final.
In the junior categories, the National Youth Games champion, Shuaib Giwa proved his effort at the Youth Games was not a fluke as he clinched the boys U – 16 gold medal.
Haisat AbdulRaheem, a budding star in the Kwara team completed the gold haul with victory in the girls U – 16 final.
Before proceeding to the Prime Atlantic Championship, the team put up a heartwarming performance at the recently concluded JHGS National Squash Championship with one gold and two silver medals in their kitty.
