Kola joined the industry when it seems there were no rooms for new entrants, but out of dedication, focus and doggedness, he trail the blaze and he is today a force to reckon with not only in sports journalism, but sports business.
KD as Kola is fondly called by friends proved he made the right choice by leaving a lecturing job at prestigious University of Abuja for a profession that has made him more popular and happy than some Vice Chancellors of some universities.
His commitment, openness and versatility has not only earned him cash and fame but also a top position as Media Aide to Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare.
Kola has used his wealth of experience to help many young and upcoming journalists, footballers.
May be that’s why he’s getting grace, lucks and blessings daily.
Since today is his day, its best to appreciate him for being who he is and deserve best wishes from all and sundry.
Before his new status, Kola Daniel has covered the NPFL as a Senior Reporter, LMC Accredited Match Delegate, NFF’s Match Commissioner for more than a decade.
He has also covered the FIFA World Cup, Nations Cup and Olympics.
He has won the Best Sports Journalist awards in 2016 and 2017 consecutively.
His present social stratification in the society can never be undermined as media aide to Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development.
