Zaidu Sanusi has undergone a successful surgery on Monday.
The Super Eagles defender had a surgery on his left knee at Hospital São Francisco, under the supervision of Prof. José Carlos Noronha, his club FC Porto informed
The left-back, was seriously injured in the game against Estrela da Amadora, after he completely ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and the external lateral ligament of his left knee.
The Nigerian now faces a layoff of not less than eight months, so he will only return to the pitch after the start of next season.
He definitely will be out of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Uyo.
