Monimak Baseball and Softball Junior Clubs Championship: Ekiti Kete, Goldheart emerge champions

Ekiti Kete and Goldheart have emerged as champions of the inaugural Monimak Baseball and Softball Junior Clubs Championship, which took place from June 14th to 16th, 2024, at the Adewole Baseball Park in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Ekiti Kete clinched the top spot in Baseball, while Goldheart secured the championship title in Softball. In Baseball, Goldheart and Lubcon took second and third places, respectively, while in Softball, Monimak, Lubcon, and Baseball Tomorrow finished second, third, and fourth, respectively.

The final day of the event was graced by distinguished guests, including:

– Kwara State Sports Commission Chairman, Coach Bola Magaji
– Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike
– CEO Elador Group of Companies, Olatunji Mohammed
– Former NPFL board member and Chairman Ilorin West Local Football Council, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Owolabi Agbaji Wopa
– Former accountant Kwara United, Alhaji Fatia Emi-o-safe
– CEO Sportspro News, Bayour Issa and other dignitaries.

Monisola Yemisi Makanjuola, Founder of Monimak Global Foundation (MGF) and acting President of the Baseball and Softball Federation, expressed her gratitude to the state government and stakeholders for their support. She noted that the success of this program is a testament to the bright future of Baseball and Softball in Nigeria.
