NYG: Kwara Table Tennis Will Record Podium Finish In Asaba – Aiyelabegan

Kwara table tennis coach, Kenhinde Aiyelabegan is optimistic that Team Kwara will record a podium finish at National Youth Games (NYG) holding in Asaba, Delta State.

The coach who led the team to a podium finish at the last edition in Ilorin after clinching two silver medals is looking to better their performance in Asaba.

Aiyelabegan speaking to Journalists inside the table tennis court of the Stephen Keshi Stadium said.

“I have six players three males and three females respectively, we will be competing in three categories of the table tennis which are the singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

“We have tried our best to prepare for this event we thank the Executive Governor Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and the Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission Mallam Bolakale Magaji for giving us the enabling environment with the close and open camping to prepare and put us in shape to challenge other States and by the grace of God I am sure of a podium finish.

“We were able to win silver the last time this time we will push for Gold.

It is a wonderful and a world class facility being provided here by the Delta State Government”. He concluded.
